GetAway by the Beach

I just realized of writing  and thought about this place...just now! I was in the midst of browsing thru my collection of Photos of different kinds and occasions when this got my attention. I have a very large collection of more than 100gb of photos. Though I have been in this place sometime in 2009 when I was still with my team... I never thought of writing a good catch about it. Betcha, you will ask me why just now?...I also don't know why, but  to my realization, I just want to share a bit coz I feel calm and seems like a perfect picturesque in mind about being steady and I feel like my mind is at peace when I saw these photos...

Almalin, Lobo Batangas is a great place plus if you are with the company of great people...you get satisfaction and truly a memorable experience. It never brought us that long to this place. We started the travel from our office after shift in Makati. We  reached the beach in 2 to 3 hours of driving.  Almalin, Lobo Batangas is a nice place...It is like any other spot in the Philippines where you can get the mood with the calm water, seafood experience on the seashore, great company with great friends...

 This reminds me of this:

Footprints in the Sand

One night I dreamed I was walking along the beach with the Lord.
Many scenes from my life flashed across the sky.
In each scene I noticed footprints in the sand.
Sometimes there were two sets of footprints,
other times there were one set of footprints.

This bothered me because I noticed
that during the low periods of my life,
                             when I was suffering from
                         anguish, sorrow or defeat,
I could see only one set of footprints.

So I said to the Lord,
      "You promised me Lord,
         that if I followed you,

you would walk with me always.
But I have noticed that during
the most trying periods of my life
                                 there have only been one
set of footprints in the sand.
Why, when I needed you most,
you have not been there for me?"

                                 The Lord replied,
                          "The times when you have
seen only one set of footprints,

          is when I carried you."
                                                   Mary Stevenson

Spooktacular at Mia Vita

Happy Halloween!
Halloween...

Spooktacular TreatFest at Mia Vita Subd!!!

Once again, the kids at Mia Vita Subd.enjoyed the spooky night with their trick or treat special.  They were delighted with the candies that moms and dads gave them, enjoyed the party and the foodies.

This is a one-special-event in a kid's life, once in a special day in a year that has to be celebrated.  This event has never been missed by people in United States and other countries and so does the Philippines.

Dj at the front gate

Dj spooky boy!!! My son was excited with this party and so when I asked him to stay and take a pic though he doesn't have a cheeze on his lips, at least he had my request granted...hehehe! no sweat!!! This was taken in front of the Subdivision.

The party ended up a long round candy tour for the kids and when they got home, they don't even know where to start picking...(nice sight to a mom's eyes)...
My walker
Mom, my son and niece together with their friends

My mom, my son and niece together with their friends. He doesn't wanna wear a costume anymore. He just asked his aunt to put some make-ups on his face to look like a "walker"

Congratulations to the organizers of this event! I hope next time it will be better and we also have designated round-a-route so kids won't be like a spin-a-wheel coz they know the formation and the way they have to start and end with.

Happy Halloween everyone!!!

A Million Joy in a Day

A stop at Rizal Shrine-Calamba, Laguna
Rizal Shrine

Inside the Rizal's House
Rizal Shrine is the renovated old house of the Philippine National Hero, Dr. Jose P. Rizal, real name (Jose Protacio Rizal Mercado Alonzo y Realonda) There are so many memorable parts in this house that would symbolize what the Rizal Family is in real life. They were known as one of the well-to-dos in their place. This pic was taken in one of the parts in the house where it has a very long table good for almost a dozen of people to sit on it.

Surviving Feature of Rizal Shrine-Deep Well
This is one of my favorite surviving features of the old historical house, the "wishing well" which was originally a deep well.  This was one of the pieces that the National Artist Juan Nakpil restored and supervised. Only, we haven't got a chance to make a wish on the wishing well since it was a rainy day tour and everybody was rushing, if you will take a glimpse on this seem like empty wishing well, you can feel the vibe of its being so classic and its being old...could be older in years too...

Hours spent at the Nido Fortified Science Discovery Center

Dj with Lolong at the back
Yeah! I know you have seen a gigantic alligator at the back...Hell yeah if that was real! I couldn't imagine what  to really do but to think of getting my son out far from him or maybe hit him with whatever i could think would kill him...but thank God he wasn't real...hehe! He was patterned after the famous "Lolong" the alligator in Manila.

The Robot Zoo

We had fun and wonderful tour at the Robot Zoo yesterday. It was St. John's Wort Montessori School of Antipolo Primary Field Trip. Though it was really raining and didn't cooperate to have Mr. Sun yesterday, we were still able to glide thru the program and was able to make it to our destinations safe and sound. Thank God! Robot zoo is part of the Nido Fortified Science Discovery Center Exhibit Hall located at the 2nd level SM Mall of Asia, Pasay City.

Rain didn't stop us to get a piece of memory from here and explore the greatness that the place has to offer. Actually, rain really didn't stop...(literally)...lol! Yeah and we were never trapped though we were caught in the rain...the day was spent so tiresome but filled with joy and satisfaction.

Robot Zoo has Biomechanics Animals such as Giraffe, GrasshopperGiant SquidChameleonPlatypusHouse fly, and we also have the robot bat, Rhinoceros and a lot more that your eyes won't stop looking coz a day is not enough to really explore, and experience them...

Grasshopper
Grasshopper is said to have the bundles of nerves called Ganglia, which controls the nervous system. It is located in each segment that the head has it too that serves as the grasshopper's brain.

The compounded eyes of the grasshopper have hundreds of individual "eyelets" that they use to watch out for danger. Nice feature!!! Wish we could have that feature too, huh???Whatcha think? Seeing things like a grasshopper... you could almost see all things around you if that was given to us...Try to close your eyes for a while and imagine seeing no light is not fun, and knowing that a grasshopper has lots of individual eyelets? wow! what a gift? Isn't it?A
grasshopper sees anything around and come prepared for whatever danger...God is so good, though we only have two eyes, he gave us everything that a grasshopper doesn't have...

Chameleon

Next is the Chameleon which has the ability to change its color to protect themselves from their enemies...Their gripping tail works like a second or another foot to help them holding on to trees.

Platypus
Europe was said as the place where the first Platypus specimens were found about 200 years ago. Gosh! haven't born yet when this creature was first discovered...

Really can't imagine how old Science is!!! Betcha! most of us would really wonder how they existed during the time and how they were able to survive and so now though they were gone, our great discoverers were able to introduce the science and facts about them...Really awesome isn't it?

Here are some pictures I have taken with my son, mom, gaby and the rest of St. John's Wort Montessori studs...

Waiting for Gardenia Short Film
We also have visited Gardenia Plant in Mamplasan, BiƱan, Laguna and despite of the rain that doesn't wanna stop during the tour, we were able to see a short film about the making of the delicious Gardenia breads. The kids met Gardie in the plant... hehehe!!!  They have freebies for us in the Gardenia Bread Store,
We've got 2 singles of twiggies...yummy!

We only had a very limited time explporing the plant since it wasn't allowed to really take pictures during the short film, during the quick tour in the factory. A quick round wasn't enough to really satisfy our eyes with that rounded giant toll of bread in the making...

Race to Communicate Gallery
This was taken in the gallery of Race to Communicate. The students enjoyed the stay for over 30mins while we were waiting for the Digistar Planetarium to be fully set up...The kids run back and forth, played different games like as if they were not getting tired at all... I had taken the opportunity to have shot more pics of them...some were posed and some were stolen...

While waiting at the Planetarium
This was in the Planetarium...The Digistar Planetarium consists of 160 seats in total and so because we were so many, there were some standing and some shared seats. Lucky we were comfy on our seats.

My son was already starving and complaining of not buying him a popcorn and drinks. We were fighting then coz he saw someone took something to eat inside the hall. and then imagine.. he was sooo hungry!!!

I was already complaining of not being able to eat as well so he would understand that we would have a bite after the short film...Good thing, the film was over in some minutes...but he has never forgotten about the pop corn still...hehehe!
Mom and my son

Our day went out really great though dead tired...We were able to sleep in the bus and Alas! We got home safe...  I am sure, we will be joining more field trips in the coming years but I hope the sun would shine on us...Thank you Lord for this wonderful experience!!! To God be the Glory!!!

Wanna share a short slideshow (Pics at the Rizal Shrine-Calamba, Laguna)

Dambana ng Kagitingan with SJWMS

Dambana ng Kagitingan with St. John's Wort Montessori

Dambana ng Kagitingan (Altar of Valor) is Pilar, Bataan's pride and is also known as Gigantic Cross of Mt. Samat. This was built since April 1942...Gosh! I wasn't even born yet... St. John's Wort Montessori School of Antipolo visited this place on the same day, Ocotber 16, 2012. This is a place where it is only visited for educational tour.  But tell ya...this is one sacred place where you can bring on all your fears, your tears, kneel and pray though we all know that you can pray wherever you are. Yeah, I know this is where our Filipino heroes and American soldiers bravery had shown and fought for freedom during World War II,  But I believe because of the ambiance, when you lay down everything and submitted your fears and wishes in life, hurts and sorrows in this place, it feels like there is more conviction...more power! (Do you think it is because of the power that was held and blood shed? hehehe!) Well. that's what i felt when i first saw the picture!

You could have imagined an 11 year old boy took this picture, John Patrick Esplana together with his teachers and classmates.
This cross symbolizes how courage and heroic act our Fellow Filipinos have shown to regain freedom during WW II.

This historical piece that Filipinos have is what our youth could go back and appreciate life that is free from being a prisoner and slave of other countries. Let us give thanks to those brave men and women who fought for freedom that we, our youth and the filipinos are taking pride of.

There is a good website that I can recommend not only to our school but also to other schools who are planning to take another educational tour so you can make a plan, http://www.kolobialtravel.com/deals.html

God bless you all! Thanks for reading!!!

SJWMS Primary Field Trip 2012

A day at the Dinosaurs Island Park

Good day! The group had a very nice trip in Clarkland Pampanga. They landed at the Dinosaurs Island where they have seen some life-sized Dinosaurs created and well simulated in Clark Pampanga. The kids enjoyed the place and they were able to mingle with the dinos...(Gosh! Scary!)...lol! My nephew John Patrick who is a camera shy took the pictures and to my surprise, he doesn't even have a single pic from this place...hehehe! ironic!!! But that is okay! At least he has some pictures for me....

This is the local version can be found in the Philippines. They have their own version of "Jurrasic Park". They have created Brontosaurus, Tyrannosaurus Rex, Brachiosaurus, Spirosaurus, Stegosaurus, Triceratops, Iritator, Raptors, Rhinoceros, Iguanodon, and many more!

The kids got the chance to experience and took pictures while they were inside the BIIIIIG mouth of the Dinosaur, to engage with them and feel like it was real and really moving.

The creators call it Animatronics Technology Dinos.

Animatronics Technology is where they can create Giant running and moving Dinosaurs like these. Feels like they are real and really scary!!!

Some students were so eager to touch and feel it though some were scared a bit. The people and staff were so accommodating where the children felt like they don't wanna leave the place.

Thanks to St. John's Wort Montessori School of Antipolo where they have thought of visiting this place that kids were able to explore the Dino Land.

Your school can also visit this place. This is their website. You can book now and experience the place. http://www.clarkfreeportmarketing.com/amusement_parks_in_clark/dino-island-park-clarkland.html
